MLD is a light, skin-stretching massage that helps promote the movement of lymphatic fluid out of the swollen limb. It should not be confused with a traditional massage. MLD is specifically focused on the lymph vessels to help the flow of lymphatic fluid. Therapy is applied to your unaffected areas first, making it possible for the fluid to move out of the affected area, or “ decongest” the region. MLD helps open the remaining functioning lymph collectors and move protein and fluid into them, as well as to help speed up lymph fluid flow through the lymphatics. This is a great tool to have in your tool bag to ensure continuing success in this field and profession!

Myofascial Release is a safe and effective technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions, to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Our energy bodies are attached to our physical bodies via our fascia. Emotions are felt and trauma lies buried in our fascia. Come experience deep healing and unwind, as well as clearing old energy patterns in this exciting training.

Join instructor Angela Leslee, LMT in a 20 hour, CEU accredited Mana Lomi® workshop. This style of Lomilomi taught by her kumu Dr. Maka'ala Yates, is in the lineage of world famous Lomi master Aunty Margaret.

The workshop incorporates elements of traditional Hawaiian ways of healing, pule, culture and history to assist in transmitting the true essence of Lomi.

Accompany us on this fascinating journey as we weave Hawaiian history, ancient chanting and Ti leaf lei making into the fabric of this ancient bodywork. Includes a discussion of the Ho’oponopono process, a full body Lomilomi routine, a sushi platter and a potluck.

• - Incorporating elements of self-care and self-love into the massage practice.

Bio:

Dominique is a dedicated Thai Yoga Massage facilitator and practitioner with a wealth of experience in the field. She is a licensed massage therapist and a graduate of the esteemed Florida School of Massage and Hydrotherapy. With a passion for sharing her knowledge, Dominique instructs CEU certified Thai Yoga Massage trainings worldwide, infusing both traditional and innovative sequences developed by Native Thai and Western teachers.

As a committed practitioner, Dominique has traveled to Thailand annually to assist Thai Yoga Massage trainings with Ralf Marzen, the founder of Mudita School of Thai Yoga Massage in London. Her journey into the art of Thai Yoga Massage was initiated by Ariela Grodner and Kam Thy Chow, for which she is indebted for introducing her to this life-changing path.

Aroma and Massage therapy are a synergistic, natural powerful combination to facillitate wellness with clients. In this one day course Uwe will share the history of aromatherapy, it’s effectiveness and the modes of action of essential oils. We’ll talk about the variety of beneficial effects and how you can support your client beyond the massage. With deeper understanding of essential oils your massage can become even more healing and effective.

Uwe attended the University of Darmstadt where he received his Ph.D. in natural sciences and is now teaching Organic Chemistry at Simon Fraser University. He is a Master practitioner of NLP and Reiki Master. As an aromatherapist he has worked with essential oils for 3 decades creating unique essential oil blends for family, friends and clients.
